About: Chinese bronze ritual vessels of jar shape with a wide lip, supported by a tall ring, and used to hold wine. In the latter half of the Shang period, this shape was replaced with a taller profile based on the "gu." The term "zun" is also sometimes used to describe an animal-shaped vessel.     Permalink
