object	Hi Heidi Hopefully their meeting will bring with it some answers and more support for you and your lad.:hug: I can see that the majority of your questions are around the speech and language diagnosis and assessment results, Heidi there is a really great charity called "I can". They have a helpline and I think giving them a call would be a really good step to take, they should be able to answer most of your questions Heidi: Contact I CAN The assessment also mentioned ASD traits, it would not be the SALT role to suggest or diagnose possible autism, however they are often very alert to the traits that children with ASD display. This is not a diagnosis of ASD Heidi, in fact this is a condition that takes a lot of understanding and detail before a diagnosis can be made. Its also worth being aware that many children show some ASD traits without actually having ASD. However this comment does suggest that the assessor is a little concerned about the traits, so I do think it would be worth preparing yourself for the possibility that autism may be discussed as a possibility at your next appointment, how would you feel about this Heidi?
