text	as a mum to a downs child myself i have read about it, and as someone mentioned it could be mosaic where there are fewer cells affected -only a few of the cells have 3 chromosone 21, gosh its confusing?? not sure when you posted this so when you will get results. I found out at birth and it was a total shock. The poems people post are so lovely and so sweet but not atall how you feel when you are confronted. I was horrified. I asked them to take my daughter out of the room, I couldnt cope atall. A few hours later she started crying in the nursery and I agreed to feed her but I felt so distanced and seemed like i was living in a dream for a very long time. I couldn't admit what my child had for a long time and even now the old feelings emerge and i feel odd and embarrassed when people ask me stuff. Sure she is my jessica now and she is so pretty and gorgeous, she goes to specail school and she is fourteen with a bf called jordan but it still hurts what it couldve been like. My sister has gifted children and all three of mine have probs. It feels just kinda odd. Hope i haven't gone on too much and if you wana chat, msg me thanks hugs x
