object	Hi Jenny This is very unusual and a complete shock for you I imagine :hug: I wonder if it could be Mosaic Downs :hmmm: did the Paediatrician mention this at all? it is a mild version of Downs I believe where a partial extra chromosome is present rather than the whole third one in Trisomy 21 (there are 3 types of Downs Syndrome) I met a baby from Nigeria with Downs who was not diagnosed until 6 months and this is rare, to me, a Mum with a Son with Downs it looked fairly obvious, but because of his heritage he had those lovely almond shaped eyes that many African people have so did not necessarily look like he had Downs iyswim All children with Downs have their own family characteristics, my own Son has very subtle Downs Syndrome features, so not many people realise straight away, but he does has health problems related to Downs, so it is fortunate your LO is healthy :D There is a pic of him on this thread when he was 3 http://www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/advice-support-40/new-mums-support-262/694785-down-syndrome-risk-combined-screen.html?highlight=combined+screening He is 5 now and despite his problems is in mainstream School and doing well You have had a massive shock and this takes time to digest You LO is still your baby and perfect, like any other :D There is a lovely group called Welcome to the Future of Down?s Gallery ?
